GONE

“One minute the teacher was talking about the Civil War. And the next minute he was gone. There. Gone. No 'poof.' No flash of light. No explosion.”

GONE is a thrilling book about kids stuck in a messed world with no rules and there seems to be no escape and no rules means chaos. All the adults are gone but not kids up to the age of 15. That meant that kids who reaches their 15th birthday (if they're still alive),they'll be GONE. The main character,Sam,is trying to stop all this madness along with Astrid (his girlfriend), Edillo (his trusty sidekick) and Quinn (his best friend). Caine (a power loving villain) tries to take over the FAYZ(Fallout Alley Youth Zone) along with his 'girlfriend' Diana and his evil sidekick, Drake. So Sam and his friends tries to stop them. But there's all kinds of weird everywhere like there seems to be a evil force nicknamed The Darkness trying to kill them all and kids developing powers like super-speed and healing powers and much more. But most of all, Astrid's younger autistic brother, Little Pete, seems that he is involved in this FAYZ thing and is really more dangerous than he seems.........

What I really loved about the book was that it was so well written that it was put-down able. There's a balance of violence, romance, supernatural events, twists and suspense. I'd really recommend this for kids who love supernatural stuff and violence. This would probably be for kids 12 and over. This book has characters that you will love or hate.

My favorite character is Caine as I like his villainous personality and how he's really smart. He's more of a 'brains above brawn' kind of guy.

"These are exciting, high-tension stories told in a driving, torrential narrative that never lets up. There are monsters, there are kids with mad-crazy super powers, there’s the mystery of where all the adults went. Most of all, there are children I can believe in and root for. This is great fiction." -Stephen King

Thanks for READING (get it?)
Question of the week: Have you read the book: GONE? If you have, then have you read the whole series?
